Winnie Diverlus, M.Ed, Child and Youth Development, Autism and Behavioural Science
Accepting New Parent Support and Early Childhood Development Coaching Clients
Winnie is an Early Childhood Educator (M.Ed, birth to age three) and behaviour professional (Child and Youth Care, Autism and Behavioural Science) specializing in Montessori pedagogy, and child and youth development. Valuing her interdisciplinary roots in psychology, sociology and cultural studies, Winnie is a parent education fellow and possesses a decade of experience in facilitating and implementing various educational and developmental programs with children and adolescents. She has designed various programs that have supported the overall development of children such as language, sensorial, practical life learning, and cognitive development.
While doing her work, she realized that while there is ample support for the growing child during the early years, the support for parents and caregivers remain scarce and is practically non-existent for marginalized parents. She recognized that as we collectively shift towards the rewarding work of the inner child, unpacking our life long history and understanding how our experiences have contributed to the people we are today; if we insist on parenting our children the same way we were raised, then we will miss our chance at truly breaking traumatic generational patterns.
With the parent support program, parents and caregivers of young children will have 1-1 access to additional support that is needed to transform their parenting experience. The support will help parents and caregivers understand what exactly is going on with their child’s development, guide them in holistically supporting the latter and provide the appropriate support in their parenting journey.
